Say What?

Our almost four year old, Lindsey
Lindsey doesn't speak quite the same language as the rest of us in our family. No, she's no linguistic genius speaking Farsi or Urdu or anything like that. Lindsey has her own language; created by Lindsey and spoken only by Lindsey. Below are a few of her words and phrases that keep us amused.
________________
polka dots: freckles
Hannah, what are those polka dots on your face?
________________
Halloweena: Halloween
When are we going to decorate for Halloweena?
________________
Ring Beller: bell ringer
At school today I got to be the ring beller.

Hot dem up: heat them up

_________________
Da honey: the kid

_________________
Willn't: I won't
In response to something like, "Lindsey, do not leave the yard." Lindsey - "I willn't." It's a fairly safe comment for her, it's kinda like I will and kinda like I won't. She likes to keep us guessing.

Mawly: Molly
Mawly, do want to swing with me?
_________________
take a sleep: go to bed
I don't want to take a sleep.
_________________
basgusting: disgusting
Eeewww, something smells bad. That's basgusting. (Lindsey has a very keen sense of smell.)
_________________
cute van: our van
Hey, look over there. It looks like our cute van.
_________________
Bubba: Ernie
When are we going to see Bubba?

I miss Flower.
_________________
too much: a lot
I want way way too much.
_________________
Pappy: blanket
Where's my pappy? I want him now. This version of pappy is referred to as a him. Old pappy (oh how we still miss old pappy when Lindsey's really sad) was gender neutral.
_________________
Spooky: dark outside
I'm scared - it's spooky outside.
_________________
thinger: finger
Please don't cut my thingernail.
_________________
pixie tail: pig tail holder
Don't put the pixie tail in. It hurts.

numbrella: umbrella
It's raining. I need to get my numbrella.
__________________

Mom, we need to read the corrections so we know how to play.
________________
duck the people: tap people on the head during a camp of duck, duck, goose
Sit down and I am going to duck the people.
