Hollywood Studios

After the Princess breakfast, we headed to Hollywood Studios. Lindsey was ready to get into some normal clothes and Molly was ready for another princess dress. She transformed from Cinderella to Alice and was ready for the rest of the day. We started by seeing the show, Beauty and the Beast. At the end of the show, we ran into friends of ours from Columbia who have a four year old boy that announced he had ridden Tower of Terror, TWICE! Molly had no intention of going on that ride until Connor shared his daring feat. She was quick to change her mind so we headed to the scary hotel.

Molly and David given their best scary face before going to ride Tower of Terror.

I fully anticipated that they would come walking down the hill because Molly had changed her mind. Instead, they came walking down with thumbs up and HUGE smiles. Brave, girl!!!

A little salad nourishment after the big ride.

And another ice cream for little bit.

High School Musical 3 show which the girls loved!

David and Ernie. Roller Coaster riding boys.

Sharing a frozen lemonade Lindsey and Molly style.

Lindsey decorated herself on the way back to the condo with fairy stickers.

Tomorrow...pool day. Everyone was exhausted from all the fun and ready for a day of rest poolside.

Princess Breakfast

Tuesday morning was the Princess Breakfast. Molly was EXTREMELY particular about her hair, how we placed the headband, and poor Grammy had to hem and bustle her dress more than once. Lindsey on the other hand, wanted to wear her Cinderella dress with her Princess Aurora crown and didn't care one bit that they didn't match. Both of our princesses were beautiful and so excited about meeting all of the real princesses at the castle.

Our two Cinderella girls ready for the breakfast.

Lindsey in line before the breakfast to get Fairy Godmother's autograph.

The Castle!

We had pictures with Cinderella before the breakfast on the bench. I didn't move fast enough to get any with Cinderella and the girls with my own camera.

"I believe, I believe..."

Snow White and the girls.

Jasmine and Princess Aurora

The smile says it all...a fabulous princess breakfast.

One ride before leaving the park.

Sweet Lindsey.

Love from Daddy...

A stop by the gift shop where Lindsey had a little floor time with a huge Micky and Minnie.

On the way out of the park, we saw the three step sisters which were my favorite princesses. A little off color and very funny. Lindsey said she was afraid they were going to rip her dress.
Time to change and head to Hollywood Studios!

Pure Magic

David and I were excited to be going to Disney but NOTHING prepared us for the absolute pure joy we'd experience watching Molly and Lindsey in Magical Disney World. They were in absolute awe of everything they saw and everything they experienced. It was so fun to be with them as they rode rides for the first time, watched shows and parades, and met "real" princesses.

In the car catching the first glimpse of the Disney entrance. They were so happy just to see Disney billboards....imagine how nuts they went when they saw the "real" castle where Cinderella and friends live.

In the park entrance hanging out with Minnie and Walt.

The first view of the castle.

Molly was surprised the castle had blue on it. She didn't remember is having blue on it when she "saw the castle" a few years earlier as we did a drive-by on our way to Florida. We were passing Downtown Disney at night and were able to pass the Cirque du Soleil tent off as Cinderella's castle. She and Lindsey were in the back of the car screaming their heads off about seeing Cinderella's castle. Imagine how pleasantly surprised she was when she saw the real deal!

Molly and Minnie experiencing their first show. We hit the park at the perfect time and walked right into the princess show in front of the castle.

Lindsey had her own idea of how to wear her ears. She liked the visor/ear look.

David in heaven with both of his girls in his arms watching the princess show in front of the castle.

And here she is....the beloved Cinderella and Prince Charming!!!

Next stop was the Grotto where Lindsey talked and talked to her princess of choice, Ariel.

It's a Small World... this was Lindsey's favorite ride.

Dumbo with Daddy...

Lindsey's ride of choice was Grammy.

Who knew Lindsey would be hugging the characters. We weren't sure she'd go anywhere near them but she was quick to get in a hug with Donald.

We were lucky the entire day, hitting things at just the right time. We were in Frontier Land when the parade started so the girls got perfect seats to see all of the floats and the princesses.

Seeing the floats coming down the street.

Magic Carpets...
Ernie and Grammy with the spitting camel.

Grammy and the girls after the Teacups. Molly's favorite ride...

Falling into the car after perfect day.

Crashed!

A few words from Molly and Lindsey when looking back over these pictures as we put the blog page together.
Molly: "I love Walt Disney World!" My favorite princess is Cinderella. I love them all. Cinderella's castle was so big and I want to go back to Disney. My favorite ride is the Teacups."
Lindsey: "I was so glad I went to It's A Small World. And it sings...It's a small world after all...I loved that Ariel was real when I saw her and her fin. I loved Cinderella when she was real too. The end. Oh, and God, help Molly find her Minnie. Amen."

Disney Bound - THE Trip!

This has been THE trip the girls have been talking about for a very, very long time. I am sure by the time they both left school Friday, their teachers and friends were sick of hearing about Disney. Molly kept some type of calendar that no one understood on our kitchen window for about a month. She'd make random marks and give us some type of number total each day leading up to the trip.

Saturday morning FINALLY came and the van was packed and we were ready for the road trip.

David a little nervous about the 7 hour drive with all of us packed in the van.

Easy going co-pilot Ernie.

All of us girls were in the back of the van which me and Grammy in the way back for safety reasons. On the way home, I was far less concerned about safety and we went for comfort instead and booted the girls out of the captain chair to the way back.

With David at the wheel, we made great time and were able to go exploring the pools before heading to bed. Molly and Lindsey had their new towels from Grammy and Ernie and borrowed visors from Grammy.

A very happy little Lindsey by the pool.

Molly trying out a new way to wear a visor.
After exploring, it was time to hit the bed so we'd be ready for a fun filled day at Disney!

Molly's First Dance

Molly and David were both excited to get an invitation to a Daddy/Daughter dance at Ann Ryan's school. On Friday afternoon, David picked Molly up from school and they headed out for Daddy/Daughter haricuts. Molly LOVED the curls and all of the product "Miss Genie" put in her hair. David also surprised her with a corsage which she thought was "lovely."

Molly came through the door around 7:45 p.m. exhausted. David said they danced for about an hour straight and then Molly wanted to sit down because she had a stomach ache. He thought it might be from the 2 cupcakes, cookie, and punch she had!?! David then proceeded to tell me, he had to dance "Shout" and a few other songs by himself????? Needless to say, David had a great time even when his date was down for the count. A funny visual of David at an Elementary School dance out there by himself, sweating, busting moves to "Shout." Once we got Molly tucked into bed, he hopped on the couch with a coke and watched cartoons. Gotta love a guy that's still a kid at heart. I know Molly, Lindsey, and I do....
