Great Wolf Lodge

Rather than have a birthday party with friends this year, we headed to The Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate Molly's birthday.

Before hitting the water slides, we had Molly's birthday lunch at a Japanese Steakhouse. A favorite of Molly and Lindsey's.

Lindsey and her great smile and infectious laugh at lunch.

While David was checking us in, we went exploring around Great Wolf. The girls checking out the water park.

When we got to our room to change, I wasn't sure we'd be able to get the girls back out. They LOVED playing in their section of the room in the bunk beds and of course the hit for Lindsey was having their own T.V.

Sister love!

Peek-a-boo from Lindsey Lou.
After a fun water filled day, we had Molly's birthday dinner at one of the lodge restaurants. We finished the meal off with a huge cotton candy sundae.

In the lobby of the lodge, they have a show at night for the kids and then do a bedtime story. They also taught the kids the Wolf Lodge cheer; clap, clap, stomp, stomp, ahooooooooooo. Lindsey is quite the Great Wolf Lodge Ahooooooooer.

We decided to forget all about routines and getting our girls to bed at a decent hour. After the story time, we lost all of our senses and let the girls get tattoos.
Once tattooed, we headed to the arcade. The girls had never been in one before and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Molly was into the rides and Lindsey enjoyed playing the games with David.

Finally, we headed to the room to get our exhausted girls to bed. They loved the bunk beds and enjoyed donuts in bed while watching cartoons Sunday morning. Doesn't get much better than that for our two.

Top bunk girl.

We weren't two miles down the interstate after another day of water slides and fun pools before both girls passed out in the car.

Happy birthday, Molly!

My Baby Turns 6!

Dear Molly,

On May 30, 2003 at 2:42 a.m. you entered the world causing my heart to fill with a love I didn't think humanly possible.

How does a little baby only weighing 8 pounds do that?

What a tremendous relief when they told us you were a healthy baby! Our perfect little miracle.

You looked so peaceful, so sweet, so angelic. I do remember feeling like my heart was going to explode with joy and love at any minute.

Daddy loved holding you and never wanted to put you down. That didn't change when we left the hospital either. Gliding you was his favorite thing to do when he got home from work.

And look at you now! What a kind hearted, gentle natured, loving, creative, smart, dramatic, loving girl you have grown into.

I adore you,

Mommy

Gymnastics Program

Both Molly and Lindsey took gymnastics this year at Flip City. At the end of the year, they had a performance to show off all their gymnastic skills.

Lindsey's version of a back bend.

Lindsey on the beam looking a little nervous.

Molly and her metal, her favorite part of the gymnastics show.

Lindsey and her favorite friend, Case sporting their metals.

Surprise!

B and Karen took Molly out for a shopping spree to Justice for her birthday. She was so excited to be going to her favorite store with some of her favorite people.

A hug from B before the big shopping trip.

We managed to successfully surprise Molly when she got home from her shopping trip with a little party. A special dinner, ice cream sundaes, and fun with family.

Molly checking out what was on the menu for her birthday dinner. She was happy to find out it was Low Country Boil; shrimp, corn, and sausage. And of course, boiled peanuts...a favorite of hers.

Reenacting how surprised she was and making a door hanger craft.

Queen for the night.

Enjoying dinner at the kid table.

Partied out...and we haven't even had ice cream sundaes yet.

Becca thought the sundaes were a perfect end to a fun day with her cousins.

And Lindsey, she never parties out.

Ice cream and beer - a perfect combo for these two.
Happy early birthday, Miss Molly!

Brooklyn Becca Comes to Town

Becca's Visit to South Carolina!

While waiting for Becca's plane to land, the girls enjoyed multiple trips up and down the "moving stairs." An easy way to keep them entertained.

The girls swarmed Becca who arrived in cool gold shades that matched her sparkle shirt and gold sandals. Uncle Awesome as David refers to himself, took to calling her "Hollywood."

Rub -a-dub-dub, three girls in the tub!

B and Grandaddy arrived to join the fun on Saturday. Molly sharing some juicy secret with B. Who exactly knows what crazy thing she was saying. Earlier in the day, Molly was practicing her cartwheel. B complimented her on her moves and told Molly that she was jealous Molly could do a cartwheel because that was something she had always wanted to do. Molly thought for a minute and then asked B if she was jealous that she and Lindsey had been to Disney World, too. B laughed and told her that she was a little jealous because she'd love to go to Disney. Without missing a beat, she told B to call Grammy because she'd take her to Disney. :)

Lindsey didn't let Becca out of her sight. She and Becca were such cute playmates and Lindsey was quite the helper.

B always shows up with some styling accessories. These glasses are my favorite!

Lindsey's favorite was the glitter stick that she put on her eyes, cheeks, and hair.

The neighborhood ducks even came by to say hello to Becca.

Look at that cute face!!!

I watched Becca while Karen and B took Molly shopping for her birthday. Turned Brooklyn Becca into Becca the Southern Belle.

A fun but short visit with fun Becca.
