As the Snack Helper, you get to be the line leader, you don't have to sit "criss cross applesauce," you are the calendar helper, your table gets called first, you get a special pillow at rest, you sit next to the teacher in a special chair, you get to be the "interviewer," you are the first one to go to centers, you pack up first to go home, all the kids make a picture of you, and the kids do a name cheer for you. Who wouldn't love a day that everything is focused on you!
My favorites were the pictures and the name cheer. Lindsey got to shake the pom poms and say the cheer in the megaphone and all the kids cheered along with her.
No matter what I do or say,

This is the picture that her friend David drew. She asked me why he made her fat. :) Her favorite is at school and was drawn by a boy whose name she didn't "bemember." Can't wait to see that one. And, Lindsey is already talking about the next time she's snack helper!
