We'll Miss You, Polo Road!
We got off to a rough start this year but once Molly was moved into Ms. Wider's class, she had a great year and I was much happier as a mom. It was with very mixed emotions that we made the decision for Molly and Lindsey to go to Pontiac Elementary for the 2010-11 school year. We'll miss Polo Road and all the great friends she has made over the last 2 years.
Posing (as she now loves to do) for a picture before heading out for the last day of school. The school girl look below is the second day of school. WOW...what a change. Of course the glasses throw me off a bit as well as the short hair.
Happy Birthay, David!
The day before David's birthday we had Molly's party. With a lot of energy going into her party, David had her left over cookie cake as his birthday cake. I know, not my best wife move ever but thankfully he's an easy guy. Lindsey decided to wear hair rollers to the birthday celebration.
Pondering before blowing out the candles and making a wish.

This is the card that Molly made for him that just cracked me up. Nothing like your own child being in absolute amazement at how old you've "gotin."
Next year we'll bake a fresh cake for the birthday boy and maybe Molly will express less shock over his age. Can't wait for my birthday card from her. :)

It's always fun to be insulted on your birthday.

Lindsey's Graduation Ceremony
The Graduation Ceremony was so cute it was hard to be sad. She had her own little cheering section of Pop, Case, Molly, and Copeland.

LOTS of Tears
Lindsey and I both had a terrible time with her graduating from Preschool. The night before the last day of school, she was in bed crying saying she didn't want to leave Spring Valley Baptist. I was no help consoling her because I wanted her to stay there forever, too. Opening a package from Grammy the morning of the last day with this adorable skirt and $20 bucks really helped her mood. As for me, well, I cried....A LOT...all day.
Last time playing out on the playground. Check out that flirty skirt.

Preschool was a magical and wonderful time for us. So sad to see these precious years come to an end. I am thankful to have had the experience of being a stay at home mom and having the girls in such an incredible school like Spring Valley Baptist Preschool.
Molly the Wahoo
Molly absolutely loves everything about being on the Wahoo swim team. Even though she doesn't know the correct way to do breast stroke or butterfly, if the coach will let her swim those events, she will. In this meet she got to swim all the strokes and had a great time.
Jumping in to get ready to backstroke. She ran into the lane line about 5 times and got stuck at one point. She still had a blast and thought she did great. :)
Before all the lane crashing started.

Mini Team
You gotta love a swim team that you can join even though you need to use floaties or a kick board. Lindsey is on the "mini team" so she gets to swim in the exhibition event at the beginning of each meet.
Animal "Byodey" (Beauty)
The girls decided to have a day of "byodey" for the animals. They had plans for all of the animals but the only one that they captured successfully was "Willo." The afternoon of "byodey" consisted of "food, kissis, a wolk, and bed."
