Surprise!

Blair and Hannah planned a surprise bowling birthday party for Chris. A surprised Chris.
Lindsey's reaction to getting a strike.

Hannah kept the surprise from her dad for over a month! Very impressive...not sure I could do that!

The three amigos.
We brought pop rocks as party favors and one got stuck to the hair on Lindsey's arm. She was not going to let it go to waste. Mmmm....hairy pop rocks.
Lindsey was serious about her bowling game...as was her dad who got a turkey. I think I was suppose to be very impressed I just had no idea what it meant.
Lindsey given Chris the card she made.

Lindsey's card. The yellow and red boomerang looking things are suppose to be "the crew" which made Chris very happy.
Chris and his girls.

Birthday boy makes a wish. Teddy, his firefighter friend made him a homemade Red Velvet cake that was delicious.

Birthday boy with the sign Blair made for him.

Chris wearing the crown Molly made for him.
A night of fun for all. Blair and Hannah are great party planners!

Special Dinner

Hannah was here for the night so we celebrated Lindsey starting Kindergarten, Molly starting 2nd grade, and Hannah starting Middle School. After a fun afternoon at the pool, the girls helped plan the menu and everyone helped make dinner. Lindsey was the brownie maker....and spoon licker.
Molly decorated the table and put out all the candles.

Hannah was the server and in charge of making sure she had extra ice in my glass. She took that job very seriously which of course I appreciated! I do love my extra ice.

Molly's centerpiece for the table looked great.

All of us enjoyed our "fancy" dinner of salmon, corn, green beans, noodles, and brownies. A fun night with three fun, sweet, and smart school girls.

School Girls

Both of the girls are going to Pontiac this year and had a great start to the school year. Molly is in Ms. Jackson's class and Lindsey is in Ms. Krapfel's class. Both seem like really fun teachers and were so kind and loving when we dropped them off. Certainly helped with being able to walk away knowing I wouldn't see them for another 7 hours. Lindsey found her fish before heading into the classroom to sign in, move her fish to "brought lunch" and then headed off to find her table.
Molly was excited to have a desk this year instead of a table. Who knows what Messy Marvin will be stuffing into that desk.
I spent the day working at church so I wouldn't sit around sad all day at home. 7 hours is a long time to be away from the girls. To make matters worse for me, they got home and then headed off with friends to set up a lemonade stand and didn't appear again until 5:oo p.m. My girls are growing up too fast!
